Superoots Air-Pot 15 Litre

Product Description

Superoots Air-Pot 15 Litre

The Superoots Air-Pot is a recyclable, reusable plastic container that actively enhances the quality of the root systems of plants.

This revolutionary approach to containerizing tree stock produces fabulous, non-spiralling root systems that are impossible to develop in any other available container.

Made of recycled HDPE, the Superoots Air-Pot is circular in shape with a perforated sidewall, which is textured like an egg carton. There are no flat surfaces to deflect roots and start the spiraling process.

The inward pointing cones direct the root towards the hole in the outward pointing cones where the air density in the soil is too great and therefore the apical cells at the very tip of the root dehydrate, or are air-pruned.

The response of the plant to this air-pruning is to send out more roots to compensate for the loss, which leads to the build up of a dense and fibrous radial root system in a dramatically short time.

Superoots Air-Pots can be made to any diameter in a variety of heights and can be used as pots complete with base or without a base.

Superoots is pleased to introduce a new, improved Air-Pot design. It features an angled seam that offers a fantastic improvement in joint strength and reduces the cost and the time of assembly.

The real benefits of using Superoots Air-Pots are that they

Eliminate root circling.
Reduce growing time on the nursery.
Simplify production.
Double - at least - the "shelf-life" of stock.
Reduce losses dramatically.
Ensure Superior Performance in Extremes of Weather.
The Air-Pot is made of recycled HDPE

Air Pots are the revolutionary method of growing tree's, shrubs and vegetables and this garden planter is ideal for developing plant root systems quickly. These Air-pots are the same root enhancing Air-Pot planters that the top nurseries use for their trees and shrubs

How Do Air-Pots Work:

Air-Pots have unusual cuspated walls made up of closed inward pointing cones and open ended outward pointing cones. These are no flat surfaces which deflects the roots and start the smiralling process.

The inward pointing cones direct the roots further outward to the open ended cones where, because the air density in the soil is too great, theroots dehydrate and are effectively prunes.

The plant responds to this 'air pruning' by sendin gout more rots to compensate for the loss which leads to a dense root system with a vast number off active white tipped roots.

15 litre Air Pots are a popular choice as long-term containers for mother plants, as well as being a great size for soil growers who prefer a larger plant up to 120cm tall. They measure 27cm in diameter ...
